There were big smiles on our PARK NOW stands in Amsterdam last week when the exhibition began with the presentation to us of the Overall Award for Innovation. Biennial Intertraffic is the world’s largest show covering traffic management, parking, smart mobility, safety and infrastructure. Over four days more than 30,000 professionals visited 800 exhibitors, so being recognised in this company was a very big deal!
The unique partnership of our in-dash parking payments and BMW’s On-Street Parking Information (OSPI) system won the Smart Mobility Award and the solution was then also honoured with the Overall Winner accolade from the five categories. This follows our Parking Award at Intertraffic 2016 for our RingGo brand in the UK.
This year we had an eye-catching stand in an entrance hall displaying the new BMW 6 Series GT – and many visitors enjoyed a hands-on demo of the Connected Car parking solution in the dashboard display. Just around the corner our main stand demonstrated a couple of integrated Scheidt & Bachmann barrier solutions (by card and licence plate recognition), while also dispensing large quantities of coffee, snacks – and a few glasses of celebratory fizz!
As ever with these major events, it was great to catch up with old friends and to be on hand to demo new developments to fresh acquaintances. As well as our Connected Car and Gated Parking solutions, we had many conversations about our leading On-Street apps and the Urban Mobility Control Hub that manages the total digitisation of a city’s parking: combining cashless apps, parking meters, permits and enforcement data via a unified dashboard.
Roll on 2020 when we will be exhibiting our newest innovations – developments that are so secret even we don’t know about them yet!
By the way, it could be that you are joining us before that time! We are hiring, check out our vanacies.
